Wimbledon 2018 – Best Bets Day 4

Bet Chimps are bringing you the Wimbledon 2018 – Best Bets for day three. After a successful day three that can be found here, we move on to day four. With the defending champion Roger Federer back at full strength, and not a great deal of talent on the line-up to unseat the immortal champion, it looks like it is a matter of who can beat Federer as opposed to who will win. With that said – we have targeted a few games below for the second day of Wimbldeon.

Julien Benneteau v Francis Tiafoe

Francis Tiafoe will be entering this contest absolutely beaming with confidence here after ousting the more fancied Fernando Verdasco in his last contest. Benneteau, overcame Hungarian player, Marton Fucsovics in straight sets. Both of these players have differently geared games and, while you would love this to be on clay if you were to back Tiafoe, his grass court game matches the weaknesses of Benneteau very well. Speed, spin and velocity on shots is all in favour of Tiafoe here. It may reach four sets or more, but, Tiafoe is the better player fo the two and it will be shown here.

Best Bet – Francis Tiafoe ML @ $1.85/-118 on Unibet

Juan Martin Del Potro v Feliciano Lopez

Now, we have a good match-up, both are not overly comfortable on grass, but, Del-Potro is the better of the two players here and is more than capable of beating an up and down Lopez in straight sets. The match total has been set at a very soft amount, and, it is full of value. Not much needs to be said of this match, but, our grading tools have given Del-Potro a significant edge to win by 6+ games in three sets.

Best Bet – Match Total UNDER 41.5 games @ $1.88/-116 on Unibet

Bernard Tomic v Kei Nishikori

Everyone that follows tennis – doesn’t like Bernard Tomic, and today, Japanese star, Kei Nishikori, will be doing a lot of tennis fans a big favour, when he eliminates the ever annoying presence of Bernard Tomic. The handicap here is set low for for Nishikor to cover against the lucky qualifier, and, Nishikori, despite making his return from injury, has made big strides forward in getting back to the level he was once at. That said – even at 60%, Nishikori is 7 games better than Tomic in a head to head market. Again, our tools have given Nishikori a 77% probability to win, with that being by 6+ games in three sets.

Best Bet – Kei Nishikori -3.5 handicap @ $1.84/-119 on Unibet

Wimbledon 2018 – Best Bets Day 3

Bet Chimps are bringing you the Wimbledon 2018 – Best Bets for day three. After a successful day two that can be found here, we move on to day two. With the defending champion Roger Federer back at full strength, and not a great deal of talent on the line-up to unseat the immortal champion, it looks like it is a matter of who can beat Federer as opposed to who will win. With that said – we have targeted a few games below for the second day of Wimbldeon.

John Millman v Milos Raonic

After having an injury scare not long ago, Raonic bounced back with an opening game at Wimbledon, winning in straight sets. Millman also opened Wimbledon with a win, but, in four sets against Stefano Travaglia. Millmans biggest issue here will be coping with the power and spin that Raonic is able to put behind every shot. Millman isn’t the same type of player as Raonic, and will look to stand off the baseline and play long shot tennis. This plays into the Canadians hands here as it is where he is most comfortable. The model has Raonic winning this contest at a probability of 83%.

Best Bet – Match Total UNDER 36.5 games @ $2.00/+100 on Betfair

Roger Federer v Lukas Lacko

Federer is our pick here to win it all, and he finds himself in another favourable match here against Lacko. Federer is the best there has ever been on grass, and in tennis in general, Lacko, while aspiring, doesn’t have the talent here to match up with Federer, the model projects a straight set route for Federer where he will win by 7+ games. Getting good value for this to go under 29 games at the moment.

Best Bet – Match Total UNDER 29.5 games @ $1.95/-106 on Unibet

Stefanos Tsitsipas v Jared Donaldson

This is really a game about two players headed in separate directions. Tsitsipas is currently on back to back grass court wins, where Donaldson has routinely struggled on the surface, despite a round one win. This one is a match that is geared in the Grecians favour. Tsitsipas will use his speed in order to keep Donaldson on the back foot by making him move as much as he will be. Tsitsipas has shown better match fitness, and, Donaldson just hasn’t been playing his best tennis. A story of two players on differing ends of the form spectrum. The model gives Tsitsipas a win probability of 71% in four sets.

Best Bet – Stefanos Tsitsipas -1.5 set line @ $2.05/+105 on Unibet

Wimbledon 2018 – Best Bets Round 2

Bet Chimps are bringing you the Wimbledon 2018 – Best Bets for day two. After a successful day one that can be found here, we move on to day two. With the defending champion Roger Federer back at full strength, and not a great deal of talent on the line-up to unseat the immortal champion, it looks like it is a matter of who can beat Federer as opposed to who will win. With that said – we have targeted a few games below for the second day of Wimbldeon.

Damir Dzumhur v Maxamillian Marterer

Interesting match here at Wimbledon 2018, but, Dzumhur will be coming in on a massive high after winning his warm up tournament on his un-preferred grass surface. While Marterer continues to struggle on the surface, winning only one of his last five on it. Dzumhur has been winning off great first serve percentages and his ability to convert on crucial points, this will be requred again here against the dynamic German. While Dzumhur will be full of confidence, he will need to avoid the winners hangover in order to capitalise on his good grass form. He matches up very well with his opponent here and is a more favoured winner between the two.

Best Bet – Damir Dzumhur ML @ $1.84/-116 on Betfair

Juan Martin Del-Potro v Peter Gojowczyk

Martin-Del Potro is favoured to go deep at this tournament, and, his match-up against Gojowczyk is a favourable. The over-sized, power hitting Argentine will be looking to put this one away quickly so he can focus on what comes next. This isn’t saying that Gojowczyk is an a bad player, he just has an extremely unlucky first round match-up. Del Potro is favoured on our systems with a win probability of 88% and to win by 8+ games. Getting a soft line here against a very beatable opponent, will be a good way to start the night for our followers.

Best Bet – Juan Martin Del Potro -6.5 handicap @ $1.84/-116 on Betfair

Ernests Gulbis v Jay Clarke

Ernests may have a wide world ranking, but, his actual talent is much better than that ranking. Clarke is an aspiring young player – but, he has drawn a bad match-up to kick off his Wimbledon campaign. Expecting that Gulbis won’t stuff up his chances against the younger and less experienced player here. Gulbis should be able to calmly win this one in three. Our model shows a 68% edge in favour of Gulbis.

Wimbledon 2018 – Best Bets Round 1

Bet Chimps are bringing you the Wimbledon 2018 – Best Bets for round one. With the defending champion Roger Federer back at full strength, and not a great deal of talent on the line-up to unseat the immortal champion, it looks like it is a matter of who can beat Federer as opposed to who will win. With that said – we have targeted a few games below for the first round of Wimbldeon.

Marin Cilic v Yoshihito Nishioka

This match should be Marins for the taking. While the over/under market is set at 28.5, there is value in this, as Cilic is the far superior grass court player and holds an edge in both categories that we look for, to match up these types of markets. With current market value of 1.03 to win, Cilic represents his true value to win here with a 97% probability.

Best Bet – Match Total UNDER 28.5 games @ $1.90/-112 on Betfair

Ivo Karlovic v Mikhail Youhzny

The odds of this match, are purely matched at the incredibly poor run of form that Karlovic has shown this year, his world ranking has blown out 70 spots and he now sits at #112, while Youhzny is just over 100. This is a winnable game for Karlovic, but, he has just shown that he is unreliable to do so this current season. However, both love to play power tennis, and, both should be able to win a set in this contest. This makes the overs a very attractive play. However, the line for this is set right about where this game could potentially close out in four sets. Due to the unreliability of Karlovic and the consistency of Youhzny, Youhzny holds the edge to win this matchup.

Best Bet – Mikhail Youhzny ML @ $1.80/-125 on Crownbet

Yuki Bhambri v Thomas Fabbiano

Interesting matchup here between two very evenly match opponents. Fabbiano, on grass, has the edge over Bhambri, who is better on harder and dustier courts. Fabbiano is coming in on the back of a three game winning streak, where Bhambri has lost four of his last five contests on grass. Prior performance is usually a strong indicator of future performance, and Bhambri has routinely struggled with the spin and bounce of grass courts, where Fabbiano has look more balanced. Fabbiano has the edge in both first serve to point conversion as well as points from second serve on grass, and his odds are a true reflection of market value. However, Fabbiano is prone to giving away cheap sets, and, that will be no different here, as Bhambri is more than capable of capitalising on mistakes that Fabbiano will make.

Best Bet – Match Total OVER 38.5 games @ $1.83/-120 on Crownbet

John Millman v Stefano Travaglia

Another great match up here of two very evenly matched opponents. Millman is coming in on the back of a three set loss to Marco Cecchianto where as, Travaglia is coming in on the back of three straight Wimbledon qualifier matches without dropping a set. Both play very good tennis from the baseline, and, Travaglia has a little more speed at foot and applies a little more spin to his shots than his Australian opponent. However, Millman has a significant edge in power behind the ball, and speed on the serve. This matchup, should see both entrants win a set, which helps with the overs market which is a little soft at 38.5.
